The Role
We are looking for an experienced
National Account Manager
to join our business and play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and profitability for our client brands. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will manage key national and state accounts for a variety of brands, and is ideal for an experienced operator who is looking for a divers set of challenges. You will unlock new distribution opportunities, and build commercial capability for emerging brands. You will work across multiple categories and channels, supporting both day-to-day account management and long-term growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead account management across major grocery, foodservice, and distributor partners (Coles, Woolworths, Metcash, independents, and strategic distributors).
- Own the JBP process, promotional planning, pricing strategy, and trade investment analysis.
- Negotiate and execute new ranging opportunities, from head office listings to independent group programs.
- Partner with brand founders to translate strategy into execution, ensuring strong sales fundamentals (availability, visibility, value).
- Analyse performance data (scan, Nielsen/IRI, distributor reports) to identify growth opportunities and course-correct when needed.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with retail buyers, distributor stakeholders, and foodservice partners.
- Support the development of go-to-market strategies, customer decks, and commercial models for new launches.
- Mentor and coach junior sales support and internal brand resource where applicable.
About You
- 4–7+ years' experience in FMCG sales or account management (grocery, beverages, snacking, or adjacent categories preferred).
- Strong track record of delivering sales growth and managing national retail accounts.
- Commercially sharp: confident with P&L management, trade spend ROI, and margin analysis.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable working in lean, fast-paced environments with challenger brands.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-starter who thrives on autonomy, variety, and problem-solving.
