The Role

As a Business Development Manager at WORKS, you'll play a key role in driving growth across a growing portfolio of sports clients. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring our creative work continues to deliver commercial impact.

You will work closely with our in-house account client services team to ensure consistent, high-quality communication and service delivery across all client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and convert new business opportunities across Australia and Oceania sports markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at clubs, leagues, federations, broadcasters, agencies and rights holders.
  • Spot and act on opportunities beyond the initial brief to unlock added value for clients.
  • Act as a connector between WORKS, Champion Data and the wider sporting ecosystem, through proactive networking and market knowledge.
  • Collaborate closely with our client service account managers to ensure seamless communication and project delivery.

About You

  • Proven commercial experience within the sports industry, with a strong network across the Australia / Oceania.
  • Background in working with or within creative or design agencies—either client-side or agency-side.
  • Deep understanding of how major sports clubs, competitions/leagues, major events and international federations operate.
  • Excellent commercial instincts, with the ability to uncover new opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • A confident communicator and natural relationship-builder with a proactive mindset.
