About the role

The Community Wellbeing Project Assistant an integral support role within the Community Wellbeing team at Inner West Council and reports to a Community Wellbeing Coordinator. The role is responsible for assisting on projects, working with a multidisciplinary team that develops, funds, implements and evaluates a wide range of projects, programs, grants and partnerships delivered by Inner West Council.

This role and the team, work with Inner West residents, community and not for profit organisations and bother local, State and occasionally, Commonwealth government agencies.

Remuneration

$71,080 - $80, % Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in coordinating the implementation of community

    programs or initiatives.

  • Experience or understanding of working with young people, seniors, Aboriginal people,

    LGBTQ+ community, people living with a disability, culturally diverse and vulnerable

    communities.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, collaboration, community engagement and stakeholder

    engagement skills

  • Capacity to collaborate, network and engage relevant partners and stakeholders to support

    the delivery of programs and initiatives for older people of the Inner West.

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
