About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Community Development and Wellbeing Coordinator to look after our two newly funded programs: the Emergency Relief program and a community immunisation program. Reporting to Team Leader - Settlement Services, you will be responsible for successfully deliver services and workplans of the two programs:

  • Administer Emergency Relief support in two regions: Blacktown, Outer West & the Blue Mountains.
  • Implement activities and deliverables in the Community Connector for Immunisation Grant program

The role is based in Auburn however will be required to attend at least two days of outreach in Blacktown/Penrith/Blue Mountains LGA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program delivery: direct client case work, administrative paperwork, data entry, community consultations, running community education info sessions, managing relationship with partners and community leaders, participating in community festivals and events, and reporting.

  • Supervise the Settlement and Finance Capacity Worker and student placements who also support the ER program

  • Other organisational and team responsibilities

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in community development with vulnerable communities, including migrants and refugees, First Nations people, people with disabilities etc.
  • Experienced and skilled in Microsoft applications and CRM
  • Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, from clients to stakeholders and partners
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Hold a NSW full license and have access to a fully insured vehicle (due to the outreach nature of the role)
