The Smith Family is a national children's education charity that works with children and young people experiencing poverty to overcome their circumstances and reach their full potential by providing holistic, long-term support for their education.

About the role

We are seeking a Project Officer – Communities for Children to support community partners and stakeholders in delivering projects that build community capacity. Reporting to the Project Manager – Communities for Children and working alongside a dedicated and passionate team, you will:

  • Support community partners to meet funding and reporting requirements
  • Monitor project deliverables and assist with data collection and analysis
  • Engage with stakeholders to strengthen networks and service integration
  • Coordinate community events and strategic initiatives to promote CfC FP goals
  • Contribute to planning, reporting, and continuous improvement activities

About you

As well as a passion for supporting communities and building capacity, you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in community development, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in program or project support within the community services sector
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills to collaborate with community partners and service providers
  • Ability to collect, analyse, and report on data to support project outcomes
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities
  • Working with Children Check and a valid driver's licence (or ability to obtain)
