The Position

We're seeking a skilled and adaptable IT Infrastructure and Projects Officer to join our technical team in a hands-on role. You'll work across on-premises Windows Server environments, Hyper-V virtualization, and network infrastructure, with opportunities to engage in both on-prem and cloud technologies.

This role includes occasional travel to remote sites (typically 2-10 days, depending on location and project).

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy and support Windows Server (2022/2025) roles: File/Print, DC, DHCP, DNS, Hyper-V, Failover Clustering
  • Maintain and troubleshoot local and remote site networks (switching/routing, WIFI, SDWAN)
  • Provide L2 escalation support remotely and on-site
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on incident resolution and cloud migration
  • Deploy and maintain equipment whilst adhering to company change management procedures

Essential Criteria

  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years administering Windows Server on-prem roles
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willingness to travel to remote sites
  • Adaptability to new technologies

Desirable Skills

  • Microsoft Azure/365 tenant administration
  • Intune or Configuration Manager (for device and OS management)
  • VMware vSphere
  • Commvault & Zerto
  • Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN
  • On-prem/Hybrid Microsoft Exchange
  • NAS/SAN (iSCSI) administration
  • Linux administration
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Experience supporting remote sites in mining, construction, or industrial environments
