Westport is a program which sits within the Transport Portfolio. It is the long-term project that is progressing Perth's proposed new, world-class port facility in Kwinana, which will unlock Western Australia's economic growth, allow for the evolution of Fremantle, and deliver local jobs and opportunities in our southern suburbs.

Westport are on the lookout for talented professionals to support the spatial intelligence driving one of Western Australia's most transformative infrastructure programs.
In this exciting role, you'll lead and deliver complex spatial data tasks that directly inform strategic decision-making across the program. You'll provide expert technical research and analysis, shaping how spatial information is captured, interpreted, and applied to real-world challenges. This is more than just data, it's about unlocking insights that guide the future of freight, ports, and supply chains across WA. Your impact will be through:
- Investigating and providing high level technical advice and support on a range of technologies that enhance and present data and other cartographic information to project stakeholders.
- Providing professional advice in relation to the use and analysis of spatial data within the Westport program.
- Undertaking and supervising complex spatial data tasks and managing Westport project related data and information.
- Liaising with Westport program partners and other government agencies to ensure the integrity, currency and accuracy of spatial and attribute data for Westport requirements.
- Supervising staff in the delivery of spatial information services to the Westport project and providing training and technical support to team members in the use of relevant applications and GIS products.
What sets you apart:
- Proven substantial leadership and management experience in the geospatial environment.
- Expertise in the management of corporate databases, environmental systems research institute software applications and geographical information systems in large complex environments.
- Advanced analytical, research and communication skills with a diverse range of stakeholders.

There are currently
One (1)
full time, fixed term appointment contract up to
30 June 2028
with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency available for immediate start.
