Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) are currently seeking to hire a Full - Time Customer Service Representative / Customer Account Specialist - located in our Brisbane office.
This role will join the growing Brisbane office of Sales Managers, Technical Support and Project Engineers.
SEL invents, designs, and builds digital products and systems that protect power grids around the world. This technology prevents blackouts and enables customers to improve power system reliability and safety at a reduced cost.
A 100 percent employee-owned company headquartered in Pullman, Washington, SEL has manufactured products in the United States since 1984 and now serves customers worldwide.

About the Role
Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor your responsibilities will include:
- Providing an excellent level of customer service and communication to customers, internal sales managers and engineers
- Accurate entry of sales orders
- Preparing quotations, address logistic issues, track shipments, and send sales order acknowledgments to customers
- Creating and maintain records in databases
- Assisting the Sales & Customer Service division to achieve service KPIs
- Providing support for customer training and marketing event activities
- Maintaining relationships with alternative business divisions (ie Finance and Legal) to ensure credit terms and contract terms and conditions processes are adhered to
- Assisting with preparations of tender documentation
- General administrative duties
As the successful candidate you should have the following:
- Related business or customer service experience
- A strong customer focus with excellent verbal and written communication skills (strong English proficiency required)
- Demonstrated experience in a data entry/customer service/account management role, including order processing and logistics, utilising ERP and CRM tools ( ie Salesforce )
- Ability to learn concepts and technical details of products
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills, utilising available tools and resources
- Strong organisation skills with excellent time management
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in an Australian wide team environment
- Alignment with SEL's Values
- Ability to travel domestically, if required (limited)
