Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Provide friendly and professional front-line service, welcoming patients and ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.
• Manage appointment bookings and scheduling to optimise patient flow and reduce wait times.
• Accurately handle patient records in both paper and digital formats, ensuring confidentiality and that all information is up-to-date.
• Handle billing procedures, including invoicing and understanding the Medical Benefits Schedule (MBS) for Diagnostic Imaging Services.
• Deal with patient queries on the phone and by email, offering assistance as needed.
• Collaborate closely with fellow staff members and medical professionals to support day-to-day operations and ensure high-quality patient care.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

• A passionate and positive attitude, eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment
• Strong work ethic and professional integrity
• Strong organisational and communication skills with a commitment to working effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent presentation, with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• A willingness to enhance skills and knowledge specific to Medical Imaging

Desired:

• Previous experience in administration, medical reception or a similar role, although not necessary as training will be provided to ensure your success within the role.
• Medical typing skills.
• Basic knowledge of MBS
• Experience with Kestral – Karisma RIS software
