Medical Receptionist

Frontier Dermatology is a dynamic patient-focused practice located in Charlestown. We are at the forefront of evidence-based dermatology, offering specialised medical, surgical, and cosmetic services. Our staff are valuable and integral members of our team.

We are seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our supportive and trusted group of local dermatologists.

Shift hours:

Monday - 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Tuesday - 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing high quality reception and administrative services to patients, doctors and staff of the practice in a caring and supportive manner
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all practice and patient information
  • Preparation and processing of patient accounts, payments, Medicare and DVA billing
  • Management of referrals
  • Use of Xestro medical software
  • Management of telephone calls, mail, faxes and email with efficiency, courtesy and professionalism
  • Supporting flexibility in practice staffing arrangements

Experience and attributes:

  • Experience in a specialist medical practice is desirable
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and collaborate
  • Proficient computer skills and use of medical software
  • Sound knowledge of medical terminology
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of Medicare and online claiming
  • Professional presentation with excellent communication skills

Remuneration will be negotiated upon experience and skill level.
