About the Role

This is not another "account management" position buried in layers of bureaucracy. This is a front-row seat at the table where Australia's mining productivity battles are fought and won.

At Schlam Payload, our payload solutions are the gear miners demand by name. We design and deliver the Barracuda Buckets and Hercules Truck Beds that have become the benchmark across mine sites, products that work harder, dig deeper and last longer. Your role? To be the guardian of relationships, the hunter of new opportunities, and the voice of our brand across the Hunter Valley.

You'll be representing Schlam Payload in a brand-new facility, giving you a unique chance to not only grow the business but also embed Schlam as the first name mining companies turn to when performance, reliability, and uptime matter.

This is big game hunting in the attachments market, and the rewards are just as big.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day in this role carries weight and expectation. You'll:

  • Command the region by deepening relationships with existing clients and unlocking new ones.
  • Shape strategy and deliver growth by identifying opportunities others miss and turning them into tangible revenue.
  • Stand side by side with miners whether on site in PPE, or in a boardroom delivering a pitch and prove why Schlam dominates the market.
  • Be the trusted advisor: understanding client operations, aligning tailored solutions and ensuring their loyalty doesn't waver.
  • Lead proposals, pricing, and commercial strategies that deliver both short-term wins and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to ensure solutions are rock-solid, competitive and exactly what clients need.
  • Maintain discipline and foresight through CRM, ensuring data isn't just logged but leveraged to make sharper decisions.
  • Protect the brand every handshake, every email, every presentation reflects the strength and credibility of Schlam.

This isn't just "managing accounts" this is defending territory, building empires and setting the standard for the region.

About You

This role is not for the faint-hearted, it's for someone who thrives in high-performance environments and knows how to get results.

  • You're proven in mining services, heavy equipment, MEM or product support, with a track record of growth.
  • You can switch gears effortlessly: one moment deep in technical drawings with engineers, the next negotiating multi-million-dollar deals with procurement.
  • You've got the grit to push through resistance and the charisma to turn clients into lifelong allies.
  • You're driven, commercial and naturally competitive.  The kind of person who doesn't just meet targets but demolishes them.
  • You understand mining's fast pace, shifting priorities and demanding customers and you rise to the challenge, every time.
