The Role:

As an Intermediate Accountant, you will work closely with senior accountants and partners to manage a varied portfolio of SME and high-net-worth clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, and BAS for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
  • Assisting with tax planning and business advisory services
  • Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies
  • Supporting junior team members and contributing to ongoing process improvement
  • Using accounting software such as Xero & MYOB. Knowledge of AO would be advantageous
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an Australian Chartered Accounting firm preparing BASs & tax returns
  • Completed or undertaking Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or related discipline
  • Working towards or completed CA/CPA qualification
  • Excellent communication skills and client service mindset
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting software (MYOB)
  • Must be a team player
