The Team:
Alcohol and Drug Services (ADS) is a part of the Department of Health (DOH) that cares for the needs of clients accessing treatment Alcohol and other Drugs in Southern Tasmania. The service operates on a Multidisciplinary team model of care, all our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role:

  • The provision of high-level executive support and coordination of activities for the Team Leader Alcohol and Drug Service South and the Nurse Manager of Withdrawal Services, exercising a high level of confidentiality.
  • The provision of financial and administrative support in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To provide orientation and support to other administrative assistants/casuals in the provision of administrative and clerical support services.

You will need:

  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the proven ability to undertake duties in a professional manner and with a high level of discretion, and effectively liaise with internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking administrative and clerical duties including the proven ability to prioritise work requirements, be flexible and adaptable, and work both independently and as a member of a team in an environment subject to change, work pressures and deadlines.
  • Well-developed written communication skills and the ability to take and transcribe written and audio recorded meeting minutes.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary:
$73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Salary Packaging:
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
