About the role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Accountant to join our dynamic team at Bake Group in Richlands, Queensland. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for supporting the overall financial accounting and reporting functions of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and analysing financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements

  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations

  • Assisting with the month-end and year-end close process

  • Reconciling bank and general ledger accounts

  • Providing support for the budget and forecasting process

  • Participating in the implementation of new accounting systems and processes

  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to provide financial information and insights

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar financial accounting role

  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, practices, and regulations

  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
