About The Role
The main focus will be on deploying printers, secure print software and managed services related projects. The role is responsible for helping align the planned business objectives of both the customer as well as Canon. It also ensures that project management is delivered in a consistent and qualitative manner to customers while contributing to the continuous improvement in the project office. This is a hybrid role reporting to the Manager – Project Management Office.
Scope of Role
- Defining, leading, planning, monitoring, controlling and delivering customer projects with the scope of completing these projects on-time, on-budget to the required quality and desired outcome of both the customer and Canon.
- Act as primary nominated Canon representative to the customer with respect to participation in project related meetings.
- Coordinate customer projects following the project management methodology from the initial identification of the customer need through to project sign off.
- At the point of customer sign off, the Project Manager is responsible for the hand-over of the project deliverables and the project knowledge to the Canon support teams.
- Develop, maintain, and track the project schedule to ensure timely delivery of milestones, manage dependencies, and adjust timelines as needed to keep the project on track.
- Organize Canon resources to deliver quality implementations aligned with customer requirements, effectively maintaining a resource plan for each project assigned.
- Manage involvement of local partners and/or 3rd party providers with respect of the customer project.
- Identify and manage any risks associated with key process & methodology and escalate where required.
- Ensuring that project changes, exceptions, issues and risks are recorded, managed and escalated accordingly to Canon and customer stakeholders.
About You
You will possess a sound understanding of PMO frameworks and processes coupled with expertise in PMO Governance, relevant project management/technical training. You thrive on juggling multiple projects at once and you know how to put our customers at the heart of what you do. Your working knowledge of PRINCE2 or other PM methodology and your experience of providing training to end users and business managers will stand you in good stead. You will have a growth mindset and an appetite to work with new and emerging technology. Your experience in hardware deployment projects is crucial to the functioning of this role. Key Skills & Experience include:
- Minimum 7+ years Project Management experience
- Experience in delivering Hardware related projects
- Experience presenting Project Management & Transition methodologies, frameworks and operational processes to customers
