We are hiring for three key roles: Resource/Operations Manager, Plant and Labour Allocator, and Yard / Plant Coordinator. These roles are pivotal to ensuring project teams are equipped with the right resources, work safely, and achieve project targets efficiently.

Resource Manager

As Resource Manager, you will oversee the planning, allocation, and utilisation of blue-collar staff and plant equipment (approx. 100 items of plant and 100 blue collar workers ). Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will manage the allocator and plant administrator to ensure teams have the right resources to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and allocate workforce 2–8 weeks ahead, ensuring project schedules and targets are met.
  • Monitor project controls, including reports and site feedback, to identify issues and drive action.
  • Oversee plant and equipment utilisation, maintenance, and external hire to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage and support the allocator, plant administrator, and training coordinator to ensure staff competency and compliance.
  • Attend site and project meetings to ensure clear communication, lean practices, and operational efficiency.
  • Address blue-collar performance issues and ensure project teams have the resources needed to deliver safely and on time.

Key Attributes:

  • Strong communicator with leadership experience managing blue-collar teams.
  • Analytic thinker with problem-solving skills.
  • Construction experience with cost control, productivity, and efficiency focus.
  • Knowledge of HSEQ requirements and industry standard operating procedures.

Allocator Coordinator

This role reports to the Resource/Operations Manager and focuses on coordinating staff allocations across multiple projects, managing recruitment, and supporting project teams to ensure optimum performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate blue-collar staff weekly based on project requirements and 8-week lookaheads.
  • Liaise with project managers, supervisors, and plant teams to monitor staff performance and project needs.
  • Maintain HR and Deputy records, including leave registers and compliance documentation.
  • Recruit and onboard new talent to fill labour gaps and build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Support training and competency development to upskill workforce and subcontractors.
  • Manage logistics and planning for truck and Ute movements across projects.

Key Attributes:

  • Strong recruitment and talent acquisition skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in labour scheduling and workforce optimisation.

  • Monitor subcontractor plant onboarding and usage.
  • Manage plant hours, repair priorities, and cost control initiatives.
  • Maintain asset registers, track usage, and report weekly to management.
  • Implement improvements for efficiency, safety, and quality in yard operations.
  • Support project teams by providing timely plant resources and guidance.

Key Attributes:

  • Strong organisational and team leadership skills.
  • Experience managing large plant fleets and mechanics.
