The Position:

The successful candidate will take ownership of an existing portfolio while actively identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities.

This includes building market presence, initiating contact with prospective clients and partners across all verticals, and driving strategic growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

* Manage an existing customer portfolio while actively pursuing and securing new business opportunities in alignment with overall business objectives.

* Responsible for pipeline growth and management in line with targets both individually and contributing to the wider team.

* Probe and identify customer needs and provides solutions.

* Sell and promote a range of logistics solutions including Ocean Freight, LCL, Air Freight, Inland Transportation and Customs House Brokerage, tailored to meet customer needs.

* Own and drive the development of solutions to customer business opportunities and tender requirements.

* Provide local industry information and analysis to customers and senior management communicating significant trends, rate changes and policies.

* Maintain market awareness regarding market developments, supply/demand, pricing, competition etc.

* Research and understand industry trends to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers.

* Ensure customer relationship management tools are updated on time and are of excellent quality.

* Identify opportunities within Oceania, action and develop sales leads.

* Participate in evaluating and developing pricing projects and new business opportunities focused selling in line with key products and target areas within the vertical.

* Collaborate with internal Maersk teams to unlock opportunities by leveraging existing relationships across Oceania.

* Support development of business opportunities with sales peers.

Who We are Looking for:

* 3 - 4 years of Logistics experience.

* Experience with transportation sales (plus).

* Proven success in developing and winning new customer business.

* Key stakeholder engagement skills across multiple levels of customer organisations.

* Previous experience working within a fast and dynamic Sales environment.

* Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.

* Capability to develop new business with new customers.

* Ability to canvas market and develop win strategy to deliver results.

* Strategic & consultative partnering with customers.

* Problem-solving skills.

Preferred candidates will be required to undertake reference checks as well as pre-employment screening, including a National Police Check. Where applicable, background checks including Employment History and Education History (including Qualifications) may be required.
