Are you ready to accelerate your career in the automotive industry? 4K Automotive is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our passionate and high-performing team. In this pivotal role, you'll take ownership of financial operations across our business, helping to drive efficiency, insight, and long-term success.

About the Role:

You will manage the financial operations across multiple dealerships within the 4K Automotive Group, with the option to be based at our Head Office in Campbelltown or at our Croydon site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee daily accounting functions including AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and general ledger.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Cost Optimisation: Analyse data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate, timely tax lodgements and adherence to regulations.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain strong financial controls to safeguard assets.
  • Collaboration: Partner with department heads to provide financial insights that drive smarter business decisions.

About You:

We're looking for an accounting professional with strong business acumen and a keen eye for detail. Automotive industry experience is essential, with a solid understanding of dealership operations and financial processes. You'll bring a proactive mindset and a passion for delivering accurate, insightful financial reporting to support business growth.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CA qualification preferred (or working towards).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting software and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
