Financial Controller

We are looking for a commercially astute and values-driven Financial Controller to lead our Finance and Accounts function and help shape Sureway's current phase of growth. In this pivotal senior role, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and oversee financial operations. You will be able to provide strategic insights that support sustainable business expansion. From compliance and reporting to cashflow management and senior Executive advisory, you will safeguard the organisation's financial health while assisting the CFO with key decision making. This role goes well beyond compliance and reporting, it's about using data-driven insights to influence decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial operations across Sureway Group.
• Design and produce reports to support business decision-making and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Manage statutory and tax compliance obligations in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
• Demonstrated ability to provide performance based analytical and statutory reporting in all facets of business activity.
• Provide strategic insights that support sustainable business expansion.

Skills and Experience:

• Accounting qualifications, CA / CPA or progression towards.
• Strong technical accounting and financial control experience.
• Expert proficiency in Excel, with the ability to create and manage complex financial models.
• Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to help others succeed.
