The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, strategic, meticulous, and strong-leadership Financial Controller to lead our experienced finance team. Reporting to the CEO and board, this role will safeguard the organisations financial health, enhance operational efficiency, compliance and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Financial

  • Financial Operations and Compliance - oversee income and expenditure, lead preparation and payment of tax obligations, monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting and drive compliance
  • Strong cash management skills
  • Build strong relationships with key external players such as auditors, Tax Accountants and bankers
  • Daily reporting of key KPI's, including national consolidation
  • Prepare the monthly management reporting information, and any others requested from time to time
  • Manage budgets and forecast
  • Management of key contracts including but not limited to property leases and energy supplies
  • Other Additional Financial Controller duties as required

IT Infrastructure

  • Management of the IT infrastructure
  • Interface IT with operations and to optimise customer experience

Who you are

This full-time position will suit a customer-focused and ambitious person who:

  • 5 years+ experience gained in the manufacturing industry
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting - CPA or CA qualified, desirable
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards
  • Highly commercial, analytical, and capable of making data driven decisions
  • Ability to manage complex business relationships and managing an experienced team
  • Sound judgment skills with the ability to support the wider business achieve their objectives
  • Ability to influence, develop and coach team members to ensure the delivery of a positive and engaged customer experience
  • Attend to the tasks of the Company Secretary and Public Officer
