The Grounds is looking for Sous & Head Chefs to join our team. Come and work with us and contribute to menu innovation and lead kitchens where your creativity is fostered.

We have some exciting new venues on the horizon and we need leaders in the kitchen.

As Sous Chef / Head Chef you are at the heart of our fast paced kitchens, inspiring emerging talent, overseeing and directing the preparation and production of our amazing dishes and leading your team in service.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead, mentor, and energise your team while keeping service running smoothly
  • Driving menu creation, tastings, and new concepts alongside our Executive Head Chef
  • Overseeing food prep, stock control, purchasing, and cost management.
  • Setting the pace with a hands-on leadership style
  • Ensuring the consistent and smooth running of food production
  • Approving and managing kitchen rosters and timesheets
  • Ensuring every kitchen operation reflects The Grounds' high standards and values.

What we're looking for:

  • Solid experience ( 2 years minimum ) in a senior kitchen role
  • Sharp time management, exceptional attention to detail, and a calm head under pressure.
  • A collaborative spirit and a natural ability to communicate and inspire.

Working at The Grounds Group requires some evening and weekend availability, however, we work to flexible rosters. We thrive on collaboration and strong team work and we're excited about what's in store with our new venues
