We have a strong Melbourne foundation of clients, and now we're looking for a Business Development specialist to take us further by opening doors with organisations who don't yet know Aspen Legal.

About the Role

This role is all about new business generation and creating long-term relationships which you will grow and manage. Your initial focus will be on business development activities, including but not limited to: researching, mapping, and approaching new organisations to generate new business.

Responsibilities

  • Research and map the Melbourne market to identify prospective secondment clients.
  • Win new clients who are not yet engaged with Aspen Legal.
  • Execute outbound outreach campaigns (calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking).
  • Qualify new opportunities, transition to warm leads and convert to sales in tandem with the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Keep CRM and pipeline reporting up to date
  • Represent Aspen Legal at client meetings and networking events.

About you

This is a greenfield position and will play a key role in the expansion of our business, and therefore you need to be a self-starter with a vision for long-term success.

To be successful in selection for this position you will possess the following:

  • Experience in a sales or business development focused role.
  • Proven track record in developing strong pipelines and winning new clients.
  • Confidence in outreach: calls, emails, LinkedIn — comfortable making the first move.
  • Strong research skills and ability to market map.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and resilient.
