About the role

Gusto Riverfront Restaurant is looking for an experienced chef to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. The role would suit someone who is self-motivated and looking for a challenge.

As the successful applicant, you will possess the following:

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef
  • Qualifications (Cert IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Occupational health and safety (OH&S)
  • Experience in menu planning
  • Experience in budgeting

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and leading kitchen team to consistently deliver high-quality food.
  • Supervising kitchen operations effectively and to a high standard while meeting labour targets.
  • Timely and effective service of high-quality food.
  • Responsibility for managing the cost of goods and wage targets.
  • Rostering and shift management.
  • Stock management including ordering, rotation, and wastage control.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail in all areas of your work.
