Depot Noosa, located on the Noosa River along Gympie Terrace, is seeking a passionate and qualified Chef to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to challenge yourself in the most popular breakfast café in Noosa, working in a fast-paced yet supportive environment.

About the role:

We're looking for a dedicated chef ready to take the next step in their career. You'll play a key role in supporting the kitchen team, maintaining exceptional food quality, and contributing to menu development. Working closely with our Head Chef and BOH team, you'll ensure smooth, efficient kitchen operations while bringing creativity and passion to the plate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation & Service: Assist in preparing meals, ensuring they are served on time and in line with Depot's high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Kitchen Team Support: Work closely with the kitchen team, taking a lead role when required to ensure safe and efficient work practices. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Stock & Inventory Management: Assist in managing kitchen inventory and ordering, ensuring minimal wastage and that stock is stored appropriately.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration: Contribute to menu updates and seasonal changes in collaboration with the head chef, while helping maintain consistency in food offerings.

  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced kitchen, ideally in a café or restaurant setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to handle pressure during busy periods.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality meals and attention to detail in presentation and taste.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented attitude with a desire for continuous learning and growth.
  • Ability to support menu development, stock management, and assist in maintaining kitchen efficiency.
