Telecommunications Technical Officer

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, test, and maintain telecommunications equipment, systems, and networks.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in wireless, transmission, switching, and data communication systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Assist in the design and implementation of telecommunications infrastructure projects.
- Monitor network performance and provide technical support to internal teams and clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and service records.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians or support staff as required.
- Participate in the evaluation and testing of new technologies and equipment.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues affecting telecommunications services.
- Maintain high standards of service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Uphold network security and data integrity across all systems.
- Deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to innovation in service delivery.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.
- Proven experience in telecommunications systems and network support.
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in telecommunications systems and network support.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, fibre optics, wireless technologies, VoIP, and experience with network monitoring tools and testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
