Experienced Cook in Middle Eastern Cuisine – Byron Bay | $80K + Super

We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook with strong kitchen leadership and a proven background in Middle Eastern cuisine to join our growing venue in beautiful Byron Bay.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, permanent position offering $80,000 per annum plus super. You'll be working in a fast-paced, small team environment where quality, consistency, and teamwork are key. You will oversee kitchen operations, ensure high standards of food preparation and hygiene, and manage day-to-day kitchen responsibilities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience cooking authentic Middle Eastern cuisine (essential)
  • Confident managing kitchen operations, including food prep, stock, hygiene Managing food costs, ordering supplies, and controlling inventory to minimize waste
  • Creating and designing menus, considering factors like cost, ingredients, and customer preferences.
  • Monitoring food at all stages of preparation and presentation, ensuring it meets the required standards
  • Proven ability to manage rosters and lead a small kitchen team
  • Strong understanding of food cost control and ordering
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to long-term employment
  • In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and culinary trends

Ensuring adequate supplies of ingredients and equipment, ordering new supplies as needed

. Interacting with customers, taking orders, and addressing dietary needs or preferences.

  • Must have full Australian working rights
  • Able to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
