Based in Neutral Bay - Sydney NSW

High and Dry is a fun Burger and Beer joint dripping in 90's nostalgia located in Rosebery, Leichhardt, our sister Restaurant Fat Belly Jack's in Newtown and our new restaurant in Neutral Bay.

We pride ourselves on our unique weekly specials, diverse burger and beer menu and our eclectic retro decor complete with original cartoon themes and old favourite game machines.

Currently we require three solid all-rounders to join our very busy kitchen as a Chef/Cooks for our Neutral Bay restaurant.

This role will suit someone who has at least one year of cooking experience in a fast paced environment, has a high bar for quality and cleanliness, follows direction, loves cooking and brings positive energy to our kitchen.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and cook basic menu items to a high quality standard

  • Assist higher-level cooks and chefs with food prep, service and plating

  • Follow standard recipes and portion controls

  • Keep yourself and work areas clean, organised and up to food safety and WHS standards

  • Have experience using commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

  • Contribute to stock rotation, labelling, and daily prep tasks

  • Support the team in opening, closing, and maintaining kitchen operations

What You Bring

  • 1 year+ experience in a commercial kitchen

  • Basic knife skills and knowledge of food safety and WHS procedures

  • Good communication and a team-first mindset

  • Ability to follow instructions and stay calm in busy periods

  • Reliable and willing to learn


•Able to work evenings and weekends.

  • Formal cookery qualification and/or current Food Safety Certificate will be highly regarded
