ABOUT THE ROLE

Kinetic IT is looking for a highly skilled Senior Contract Manager to join our Commercial & Contractual Services Group. This pivotal role will see you managing complex commercial and contract matters, working directly with key clients and guiding the business to achieve its strategic objectives. This is a permanent, ongoing position available in Canberra as a hybrid role, split between the office, customer sites, and the ability to work from home.

As the Senior Contract Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire contract lifecycle and optimising our contractual relationships with clients. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and driving successful client engagements

IF YOU WERE YESTERDAY, THESE ARE SOME OF THE THINGS YOU WOULD BE INVOLVED IN:

  • Providing expert contracting advice to account teams and stakeholders
  • Leading and negotiating complex contracts, ensuring favourable terms and conditions
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, including amendments and Statements of Work
  • Developing and implementing commercial policies to support business goals
  • Identifying and resolving complex contractual issues and risk areas
  • Collaborating with clients to align contracts with their strategic objectives
  • Managing internal governance documentation and ensuring compliance

KEEN TO GET INVOLED? YOU'LL JUST NEED SOME OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Required: Australian citizenship with a minimum AGSVA Baseline clearance or higher
  • Professional certification or studies in commercial business acumen
  • Expertise in contract management, compliance, and negotiations
  • Proven experience managing commercial relationships and contract performance
  • Ability to translate complex contract requirements into effective solutions
  • Experience with IT asset management, financial processes, and Service Request Management
  • Background in supporting major account growth proposals alongside sales teams
  • Strong legal skills, with the ability to draft complex provisions with minimal support
  • Willingness to travel intermittently as needed
  • Experience working with federal government contracts is highly advantageous
