Highly skilled contracts administrator sought for a major commercial project in Canberra.

  • Key responsibilities will include preparation of subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings and procurement schedules.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for progress claim assistance and external variations.
  • Review, negotiation and finalization of subcontracts are essential components of this role.
  • Management and tracking of project expenditure, inclusive of subcontractor claims, is crucial to success.
  • Administration of RFIs to clients, architects and consultants will be an important aspect of the position.
  • Effective management of the project HSE system is vital.

To excel as a senior contracts administrator, you will require:

  • A senior-level construction/building contract/commercial management skill set with experience managing head and subcontracts on government building projects.
  • Aspiring contract administration level; demonstrated experience in leading subcontractor/trade administration on medium to large built form projects.
  • Industry relevant degree qualification is essential.
  • Familiarity with Contract Law principles & construction specific Acts, codes and Regulations is necessary.
  • A confident and collaborative communicator who can drive autonomous outcomes and decisions.
  • Process and system appreciation is required.
