Senior IT Acquisition Specialist

This is a highly specialized role that will provide expert advice and oversight of the procurement and contract management of IT infrastructure, on premise software, software as service and professional services.

The Senior IT Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for managing complex IT acquisitions and contract management, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, vendor relationship management, contract governance and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and managing multiple IT contracts simultaneously to ensure contract agreements align with strategic objectives.
  • Managing existing IT vendors in terms of performance to contract and the provision of services/products, addressing any non-performance or non-compliance, as outlined in their contract, SLAs and/or performance metrics.
  • Identifying and maintaining vendor performance metrics on technical, process and business outcomes.
  • Providing guidance on coordinated ICT procurement arrangements.
  • Preparing all documentation in the procurement and contract lifecycle.
  • Leading complex contractual negotiations on behalf of ICT with key stakeholders.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify potential ICT vendors and staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting and/or equivalent experience of 5 years or more in IT acquisition.
  • Knowledge and experience in the management of performance-based IT service contracts within a large organization.
