About you

We are looking for a Sales Consultant - Modernization and Replacement to be based in our Sydney office and be responsible for selling the OTIS range of Modernization and Replacement products to major customers within a competitive environment.

This permanent role reports to the Sales Manager (Modernization and Replacement),

As a Senior Sales Consultant, Your Key Responsibilities are
  • Generate Modernization sales leads from industry lead indicators, industry reports, tenders, personal sales research, and customer networks.

  • Determine client requirements and design parameters quickly to configure Otis products/solutions and assist in developing future Modernisation projects to maximize Otis' opportunity to secure new business.

  • Develop and implement a strategy to maximize Otis' opportunity in the Modernisation market.

  • Conducted negotiations with clients, knowing when to request support from local management and support departments to help secure orders.

  • Interact with senior management within OTIS to develop sales strategies, value propositions, and manage sales through OTIS sales processes.

  • Maintain a sound knowledge of Otis' and its competitors' product range, the building and construction industry, relevant Codes, and contract practices to competently deal with building owners and their agents, consultants, architects, builders, developers, and statutory authorities.

What You Will Need to be Successful
  • Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction or equivalent.

  • Proven experience in technical or industrial sales is essential.

  • Prior project management or sales experience in the Lift or Engineering industry is highly desirable

  • Extensive experience in managing Tenders and RFPs, with a strong understanding of procurement processes.

  • Proven ability to interpret and respond to tender specifications accurately and effectively.

  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

  • Agile and confident in applying product knowledge across diverse client needs and scenarios.

  • Open and willing to learn from stakeholders at all levels, fostering continuous improvement.

  • Enthusiastic and proactive
