Senior Legal Counsel, General Commercial

Senior Legal Counsel position working for a professional services firm and a leading provider of Workplace Relations and Health and Safety services in Australia and New Zealand. They support businesses to manage their HR, safety, and employment law needs.
Reporting into the Head of Legal this is an inhouse generalist corporate and commercial position. You will provide pragmatic legal advice to the business operations to manage legal risk and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will review, draft, and negotiate on a wide range of commercial contracts, work closely with the human resources team advising on local employment law issues and employee relations and assist in the resolution of disputes and management of litigation.
The candidate will be 5 years + PQE level coming from either a law firm or inhouse environment and some exposure to employment law would be ideal. Could be an inhouse general commercial Lawyer who has carriage of employment matters or an Employment Lawyer currently working within a law firm environment and interested taking the step inhouse and would like to do a broader role. This is an in-office environment with predictable hours and well suited to legal professionals that value work/life balance.
