We're now seeking a
Senior Legal Counsel
to join our collaborative Legal Team. Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role is pivotal in supporting strategic initiatives, advising on complex legal matters, and collaborating across the business to drive commercial outcomes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for:

  • Senior lawyers in private practice ready to transition in-house.
  • Experienced in-house counsel seeking a fresh challenge in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and advise on strategic projects, new business relationships, product enhancements, and regulatory engagement.
  • Provide commercially pragmatic legal advice across consumer and small business lending, privacy, and general commercial matters, including supporting our new novated leasing channel.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to solve problems and deliver timely, business-aligned legal solutions.
  • Support BAU legal operations and prioritise requests across sales, product, and operations.
  • Partner with Risk & Compliance to champion policies and procedures.

What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years' PQE with expertise in consumer and small business lending, privacy law, and commercial contracts. Those with experience in novated leasing would be a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of relevant legislation (NCCP, Privacy Act, ASIC Act, AML/CTF, etc.).
  • Experience with online platforms, APIs, data flows, and cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with large loan facilities, PPSR, and commercial agreements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A collaborative, solutions-driven mindset with project leadership experience.
