Senior Legal Counsel position working for a professional services firm and a leading provider of Workplace Relations and Health and Safety services in Australia and New Zealand. They support businesses to manage their HR, safety, and employment law needs.

Reporting into the Head of Legal this is an inhouse generalist corporate and commercial position. You will provide pragmatic legal advice to the business across sales, marketing, finance and procurement. Assisting in the resolution of disputes, advising on claims and management of litigation. Advising on, drafting, and negotiating contracts associated with each of the firm's business lines and working closely with the human resources team advising on local employment law issues and employee relations as well as providing general legal support to the global and local business on an as-needed basis.

The ideal candidate will be 5 years + PQE level coming from either a law firm or inhouse environment. The core criteria for this position is employment law experience and could be an inhouse general commercial Lawyer who has carriage of employment matters or an Employment Lawyer currently working within a law firm environment and interested taking the step inhouse and would like to do a broader role. This is an in-office environment with predictable hours and well suited to legal professionals that value work/life balance.
