As we continue to expand, we're seeking a motivated Business Development & Sales Manager to drive growth, build strong client relationships, and ensure accurate quoting that supports our operational team.

The Role

This position combines business development, sales, and tree inspections. You'll be responsible for both winning new work and preparing accurate proposals, ensuring clients receive exceptional service from first contact through to delivery.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Generate new business through networking, referrals, and proactive outreach.
  • Conduct onsite tree assessments at residential, commercial, and government properties.
  • Prepare accurate and timely quotes for a wide range of tree services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and industry contacts.
  • Manage the sales lifecycle from enquiry → proposal → contract → follow-up.
  • Use CRM tools to track leads, sales performance, and client communications.
  • Collaborate with both our production manager and finance manager to ensure smooth job delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Represent Hive Tree Services at industry events and networking opportunities.

About You

We're looking for a confident communicator who thrives on both sales and analysis of technical details. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in arboriculture, tree services, landscaping, or related industry.
  • Proven sales or business development background.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem solving abilities.
  • The ability to prepare competitive quotes, proposals, and tenders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Confidence with technology (CRM, Jobber, Outlook, Word/Excel or similar).
  • A proactive, energetic, and positive approach.
  • Current driver's license.
