Position Overview:

Keystone Civil is a boutique civil construction firm based in Geelong, Australia, specialising in road projects, renewables, and pipeline works. Founded in 2014, we have built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects while staying true to our core values: CAN DO, CONNECTED, and COMMITTED. With approximately 60 employees, we are not focused on being the biggest, but the best at what we do.

We are seeking a Business Development & Marketing Manager to join our team. This is an exciting, newly created role for a driven and experienced professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. It's a unique opportunity to build strong client relationships, drive business growth, and elevate Keystone Civil's presence in the market.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to identify and secure new opportunities in civil construction, renewables, and infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Lead the preparation of compelling proposals, EOIs, and marketing materials.
  • Oversee brand, communications, and marketing initiatives to strengthen Keystone Civil's profile across the sector.
  • Support tender processes in collaboration with estimating and project teams, ensuring alignment between client needs and Keystone Civil's expertise.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity, providing insights to inform growth strategy.
  • Represent Keystone Civil at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings.

About you:

  • Proven experience in a business development, sales, marketing, or growth role, ideally within construction, engineering, or related industries.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience developing marketing strategies, campaigns, or proposals that build brand awareness and support sales outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting business development or sales targets.
  • Strategic mindset with strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel across Victoria (and occasionally interstate) to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support project delivery.
