The Australian Cricketers' Association (ACA) is the collective and representative voice of past, present and future male and female professional domestic and international cricketers in Australia. We strive to offer our members world leading, best practice service and support throughout every stage in their life of cricket and beyond, in every respect.

We are seeking a driven and highly organised Executive Assistant to partner with our CEO, providing high-level administrative and operational support in this newly created position.

Located in our Melbourne office (with hybrid working options) this role goes beyond administration — you'll be a trusted advisor, ensuring the seamless operation of the CEO's diary, anticipating needs, and enabling effective decision-making. Acting as their right-hand, you will ensure their time is optimised and that operations run seamlessly across internal departments and external stakeholders, handling sensitive information with discretion, preparing high-quality documents, and supporting key projects to drive our strategic objectives.

This role also manages governance and provides secretariat support across Boards and Committees as well as overseeing the delivery of high quality, timely and effective office management to the ACA team, providing leadership and direction to the HR/Operations Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential executive assistance to the CEO, including diary management, correspondence, and stakeholder liaison.
  • Provide administration and operational support to all General Managers as required.
  • Act as the central point for communications, maintaining discretion with sensitive matters.
  • Prepare, format, and proof high-quality documents such as strategic plans, tenders, presentations, proposals, board papers, and reports.
  • Arrange and coordinate complex domestic/international travel and itineraries in collaboration with Operations Coordinator.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements; file necessary documents and returns with relevant bodies.
  • Organise Board, Committee, AGM, and shareholder meetings: prepare agendas, papers, and logistics; record accurate minutes; track actions.
  • Deliver special projects as assigned by the CEO and identify opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen governance, or improve culture.
  • Support risk management processes and contribute to business planning and operational reviews.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to apply discretion and judgement.
  • Experience preparing 
    board papers, agendas, and executive-level minutes
    .
  • Strong customer/member service skills with ability to build rapport and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to work and contribute to wider team in a small, dynamic working environment.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to anticipate and meet the needs of senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in 
    Microsoft Office
    and
    Teams
    (experience with 
    Salesforce
     highly regarded).
  • A keen interest or experience in the sporting industry.
