Our national Insurance & Health practice combines deep industry knowledge with local expertise and the highest standards of client service. Our team of more than 200 specialist lawyers has the depth of experience and agility to help our clients, both in Australia and overseas, to navigate the complex risk landscape and support their insureds.

About The Role
An engaging opportunity awaits you as a Solicitor or Associate in our insurance team in Melbourne. We have rewarding work on offer in the financial lines and health space, focusing on defending a variety of claims brought against directors, officers, companies, and professionals across legal financial services, construction and property industries, as well as opportunities to act for hospitals, clinics, medical and other health care providers in disciplinary proceedings, litigation, and coronial inquests. You'll collaborate with a team of specialists in their field headed up by Hubert Wajszel and Scott Shelly – principals who are committed to empowering you and your career progression.

About You
If the following sounds like you, we would love to hear from you:

  • you are an experienced practitioner in the defendant insurance space with a focus on professional indemnity (1-4 years PAE);
  • you can efficiently manage your own file load;
  • you enjoy building client relationships and achieving excellent outcomes;
  • you are a problem-solver who values collaboration and understands the importance of strong working relationships.
