About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our well-regarded Government Advisory team. Working alongside Partners Mark Henry and Angela Barac, this role will work within a team of high performing lawyers in undertaking merits review for a Commonwealth Government agency.

Responsibilities
This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team and assist in the supervision of a high performing practice. Day to day you will have the following responsibilities:

• Finalising litigation strategies and statements of issues
• Conducting directions hearings and case conferences
• Managing substantive hearings
• Solicitor advocacy at hearings and finalising briefs to Counsel
• Undertaking complex statutory interpretation

About You
In order to be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

• At least 5+ years post qualification experience, ideally with experience in government advisory work and litigation.
• Strong solicitor advocacy experience and expertise.
• Experience mentoring team members with excellent communication skills and a collegiate approach.
• You may have a background of working in government and be keen to make your first move into a law firm. Alternatively, you will be doing similar work in another firm and looking for a new opportunity.
