Reporting to the Special Events Manager, in this role, you'll provide administrative and coordination support for events that bring people together – clients, supporters, donors, staff, and volunteers – from our morning tea series and monthly staff BBQs to large-scale events like our Guide Dog Graduation, Puppy Pals Day, and our Supporter Lunch.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Special Events Manager in handling incoming event requests from internal teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support fundraising, marketing, and client-focused events.

  • Support event planning from concept development through to delivery and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on briefs for event collateral development.
  • Prepare run sheets, briefing notes, budgets, and other event documentation.
  • Attend on-site and off-site events, assisting with set-up/pack-down, and ensuring smooth delivery.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of event processes, inclusivity, and accessibility.
About you

  • 1 - 2 years' experience in events, administration, or a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • High attention to detail, with strong problem-solving and initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (CRM or ticketing platform experience is a bonus).
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Flexibility to attend occasional out-of-hours events.
  • Open Driver's Licence.
Benefits
  • Salary packaging options - up to $18,550 tax free per year
  • A rewarding career that makes a real difference
  • Great location, beautiful campus
  • Wellness initiatives and an Employee Assistance Program for staff and their families
