Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.
About you:
In your new role you will;
Build relationships and effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and staff, using strong communication and negotiation skills to understand clients' needs and to deliver a service that meets policy guidelines.
Manage and oversee clinic waitlists and audit regularly to ensure patients are meeting categorisation guidelines. Maintain data integrity and patient information to maximise funding and revenue opportunities (Medicare, MVA; DVA; Work Cover, ATSI; Self-Funded, Reciprocal; Travel Insurance, etc).
Identify areas for improvements and recommend/implement enhancements to existing administrative practices including procedures and strategies and provide advice to the Team Leader accordingly. Apply system or procedural changes once approved and support affected staff to adapt to changes.
The Administration officers' function in a team environment of administration officers and reports through the Administration Team Leader, Manager Administration Business Systems Improvements up to the Divisional Director of IMCYS.
