The Company

Our client is a fantastic Non-Profit organisation based in the South-Eastern Suburbs. They currently offer supported employment opportunities for people with a disability. This role will assist supported employees to gain meaningful work in open employment.

The Role

7-month contract opportunity for an experienced Employment Consultant/Support Officer.

As an Employment Consultant you will assist people with a disability on their journey to enter main stream employment opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Updating and maintaining the participant register detailing participants employment preferences
  • Building a strong relationship with participants and current supported employees, updating regularly and advising of work opportunities
  • Working closely with Marketing and other internal stakeholder on how to grow the Open Employment program.
  • Networking with current employment partners, attending information sessions, preparing content for marketing.
  • Representing the organisation at information sessions and networking with businesses looking to offer work experience
  • Providing support to clients, families and carers to better understand the options and processes involved in achieving their employment goals.

Your Profile

Previous NDIS/Disability Services experience is essential.

You'll bring experience in the Disability industry and will ideally have professional qualifications in Disability/Healthcare/Employment Services.
