A great launching pad to establish your career pathway within our organisation, the role of Quality Auditor (Fabrication & Finishing) is key in maintaining and enhancing quality standards for our best-in-class product range.
Working alongside production teams in the Fabrication and Finishing area, you will perform inspections, audits, and process monitoring to ensure compliance with customer requirements, product specifications, and key safety standards. A team player with a natural ability to build relationships you will help drive and embed a strong quality culture at every step of the process.
A hands-on position that lets you apply your eye for detail, good communication and practical knowledge whilst building new skills in inspection, auditing, and process improvement.
A typical day may see you:
- Conduct First Off/Last Off and periodic inspections to verify compliance with specifications, drawings, and control plans.
- Perform random audits of production processes, ensuring adherence to PCPs, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Monitor process performance and compile quality reports, particularly relating to welding and finishing.
- Collaborate with production team leaders and quality engineers to identify and resolve quality issues in real time.
- Drive continuous improvement by analysing defects, warranty data, and process inefficiencies.
- Translate customer feedback into process improvements and support lean manufacturing practices.
What you bring to the role
- Previous experience/and or qualifications in a quality assurance, inspection, or auditing role within a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Familiarity with welding processes and symbols, as well as paint and coating performance standards. (highly advantageous)
- Confident in using metrology tools and interpreting engineering drawings and product specifications.
- Working knowledge of quality systems, including PCPs, SOPs, and corrective/preventative actions.
- "Can do" attitude with an openness to learning and being a contributing member
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and develop rapport
- Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Computer proficient – MS Office for reporting and data analysis.
- Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced environments, with a focus on results and customer expectations.
