Yinhawangka Aboriginal Corporation (YAC) is seeking a People & Culture Advisor to join our passionate team. This hands-on generalist role will see you working closely with our CEO, managers and staff to deliver high-quality HR support across recruitment, onboarding, professional development, compliance and employee engagement.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and staff.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Coordinate training, professional development, and compliance programs.
  • Support performance management and embed YAC's values into everyday practice.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Champion wellbeing, engagement, and positive workplace culture initiatives.

About You:

  • 3–5 years' experience in a HR generalist/advisory role.
  • Experience in recruitment, performance management, and learning & development.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (HR, Business, Psychology or similar).
  • Experience working with external HR/IR consultants (desirable).
  • Experience working with Aboriginal organisations and communities (desirable).
  • Background in the not-for-profit or community sector (advantageous).
