Part-Time Bookkeeper- 1 to 2 Days a week
Location: Garnet Homes, Gregory Hills
Garnet Homes is a growing and dynamic construction company based in Gregory Hills. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong Xero skills to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth day-to-day financial operations of the business and supporting our continued success in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Accounts Receivable and Payable
- Perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and lodge quarterly BAS.
- Track and manage income and expenses to maintain accurate financial records and support reporting.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate coding and journal entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions as needed.
- Maintain and organise financial documentation and records for compliance and audit readiness.
- Monitor purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and ensure adherence to contract terms and project budgets.
We're looking for a highly organised and proactive professional with solid experience in bookkeeping—ideally within the construction or building industry. You bring exceptional attention to detail, strong time management skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities. Your clear communication and problem-solving abilities make you a valuable asset to both the finance team and the broader business operations.
