About the Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an experienced full time Sales Estimator for our Gregory Hills Head Office. This position will report to the Head of Operations and prepare and calculate initial Sales Estimating and preparation of tender and variation costs from information provided from the Sales Department.

This is a hands-on role where you will confidently demonstrate an understanding of the estimating workflow process, be interactive, flexible and progressive in your thinking 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Complete estimating from tender documents and variations
  • Prepare inventory items and assemblies in an estimating package for common items
  • Ensure correct quantities are in the BOQ's and complete on-site measures and take offs when required
  • Liaising with staff, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure a cohesive approach to the construction process
  • Checking contract plans for accuracy prior to release for construction
  • Liaising with Construction Supervisors and Managers
  • Preparing and issuing purchase orders
  • Maintaining all queries with estimated jobs and amending orders where required

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role within the residential construction industry
  • Tertiary/TAFE qualification in Building and Construction (desirable)
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Team player
