ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking a Finance Officer to support the General Manager with day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will have agency experience or an understanding of the fast-paced, project-based world. You will manage payroll, reconcile expenses, handle AR/AP, and assist with financial compliance, including BAS, PAYG, and EOFY reporting.
*DUTIES*
- Manage all ATO compliance, including Quarterly BAS, Monthly PAYG, Superannuation, and EOFY reporting.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Manage credit card statements and daily reconciliations.
- Process monthly payroll for 16 employees and contractors.
- Reconcile events budgets and oversee the overheads budget.
- Work with Xero Accounting Software and support the accountant with financial records and reporting.
- Assist the General Manager with financial administration as required.
*SKILLS & EXPERIENCE*
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounts assistance, preferably within an agency environment.
- Proficiency in Xero Accounting Software is essential
- A social and positive personality that thrives in a creative, collaborative team
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- A positive, friendly, energetic, and efficient approach to work, making you an integral part of the agency's dynamic team.
