Payroll Officer – Part Time 0.6 FTE
Temporary Contract until December 2025 (with potential extension)
**Local Council East Melbourne | $41–47 p/hour + super | 0.6 FTE

Hybrid WFH arrangement available**
Our client, a leading Local Council in Melbourne's east, is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team on a temporary contract through to December 2025, with potential for extension. This is a rewarding opportunity to apply your payroll expertise in a community-focused organisation that values accuracy, service, and collaboration.

Please note you must have
Chris21 or iChris
experience.

In This Role, You Will

  • Assist with the preparation, input, processing, and finalisation of fortnightly payroll data for electronic transmission.
  • Support the preparation of new pay rates and production of back payments.
  • Undertake monthly preparation, processing, reconciliation, and disbursement of employee payroll deductions.
  • Provide accurate advice and assistance to employees and management on payroll matters.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Bring

  • Previous payroll experience in the healthcare, education, aged care, or government sectors.
  • Mandatory knowledge of iChris or Chris21 payroll systems.
  • A strong foundation in end-to-end payroll functions and attention to detail.
