In collaboration with other organisations, we have helped 7,500 young people with disability avoid aged care. Now, the Summer Foundation has embarked on a bold new agenda to identify, design, and scale innovative, user-led housing and living solutions that deliver better outcomes for people with disability with high support needs, and are affordable to government.

About You

You're an experienced IT leader with a strong technical background, hands on problem solving skills, and a collaborative approach. You bring a track record of managing secure, reliable IT environments and leading responsive support services. Your understanding of cyber security, infrastructure, and user needs allows you to build systems that are robust, practical, and aligned to organisational goals.

You're confident managing vendors and delivering technology projects, and you're skilled at translating complex technical ideas into meaningful outcomes for teams. Whether you're supporting Microsoft 365, Apple environments, or rolling out a new system, you keep people at the centre and make tech work for them.

About the Role

As IT Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the delivery of secure, stable, and fit for purpose technology systems that support the work of the Summer Foundation and our client group. You will lead a small, capable team and oversee IT service delivery, cyber security risk management, infrastructure performance, and strategic technology projects.

This role sits at the centre of our digital environment, ensuring people have the tools, systems, and support they need to work effectively and securely. You'll also shape and implement IT strategies, manage vendors, and lead the delivery of technology initiatives that enable innovation and improve systems and processes.

You'll report to the COO and work closely with teams across the organisation, including a supported external client group.

Key focus areas include:

• Leading the delivery of secure, reliable, and user-focused IT services, infrastructure, and cyber security
• Providing senior IT leadership across the organisation, while supporting and developing a high-performing team
• Managing and delivering IT and technology-related projects that drive innovation and improve systems and processes

You'll be part of a passionate, values driven team that's focused on real world impact. Working collaboratively across the organisation and with our client group, you'll play a key role in enabling teams through secure, reliable, and responsive technology.

This is a
part-time
position
(3 days per week), based in our Box Hill, Melbourne office. We also welcome applications from experienced consultants who work part time across multiple clients.
