Isaac Regional Council is seeking a proactive and skilled Technical Officer – Maintenance Planning to join our Fleet Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring our fleet, plant, and equipment assets are maintained to the highest standards, supporting the delivery of essential services across the region.

Reporting to the Manager Fleet, you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and reporting on maintenance activities across our diverse fleet. You'll work closely with internal teams to ensure assets are operating efficiently and safely, while supporting strategic improvements in maintenance planning.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to scope and quote maintenance works, and prepare supporting documentation aligned with program objectives
  • A trade qualification in a relevant mechanical discipline, or a minimum of four (4) years' experience in a similar role
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • A current Blue/White Construction Card
  • A valid C Class Open Australian Driver's Licence
